Kween Granola Butter Waffles

Oh. My. Goodness! I had a sweet tooth today and instead of reaching for the normal vegan ice cream or dark chocolate, I decided to try this super quick, super easy combo of waffles and this new spreadable granola I fell in love with, Kween Granola Butter.
You guys! It tasted uh-mazing! It was like waffles on steroids and it tasted more like a funnel cake because I added fresh strawberries and frozen blueberries. Now you may wonder why I used frozen blueberries, but that is what gave it the funnel cake vibe with the coldness similar to the soft serve ice cream, with much less calories and sugar.
The best thing about the Kween Granola Butter is free of the top 14 allergens, so if you have a nut allergy, dairy allergy, gluten allergy, whatever..you can enjoy it! The best way I can describe it, is the vegan, nut-free version of Nutella, but it tastes less rich and less sweet. It’s pretty versatile and can be enjoyed with toast, in smoothies and yogurt!
For this tantalizing combination, I used Nature’s Path Organic Chia Plus waffles which are vegan and gluten free. I lightly buttered them with my fave vegan butter, Earth Balance (soy-free) in a skillet for about 2 minutes on each side. I drizzled about a tablespoon of Granola Butter in between waffles with my "This Is My Hangry Spoon" wooden spoon, about 2 tablespoons on the very top then topped it with the fruit. Enjooooooy!
