Have you heard of Atlas Monroe? This black woman, vegan owned and operated business gained even more popularity after their owner, Deborah Torres was featured on Shark Tank. They turned down the deal and have since continued to grow.
This brand is based in San Diego and I first learned about them from a friend that ordered some of their frozen "chicken" breasts online and brought me a few to try. I fell in LOVE my first bite!!!
Fast forward just over a year and I was in San Diego to try their Thanksgiving menu and favorites with Deborah, the owner!
If you're lucky enough to live in the same area as their production plant (San Diego, California), you can get their hot food by pickup, Uber Eats, Grub Hub or Doordash. For the rest of us, we would have to:
- Order from one of the restaurants that carry Atlas Monroe on their menu
- Catch them at the handful of traveling pop-ups they do throughout the year
- The easiest way, order some frozen eats online and have it shipped right to your doorstep
