With Valentine's Day soon approaching, it is the perfect time to share these date night friendly spots in Chicago to find tantalizing vegan eats.


The ambiance of these spots have a romantic undertone, but also make it a great date night with a friend. I've also added my favorite dinner recommendations for each restaurant as well as ambiance style and reservations.

PLANTA Queen

100% Plant-based.


Ambiance: Intimate lighting, maximalist décor with luxe vibes, bustling scene.

My fave menu items: Torched and Pressed Sushi Roll, Truffle Fried Rice (below) and Udon Noodles.




Blue Sushi Sake Grill

Ambiance: Asian-inspired décor, intimate lighting, bustling scene.

My fave menu items: You can also request for your rolls to be served in a big-ol-sushi boat! Come through photo opp!



Casa Yari

Vegan-friendly.



Ambiance: Intimate size, luxe yet approachable, relaxed scene.


Sips: BYOB, Pretty Mocktails and Shakes.

My fave menu items: Vegan Pollo Con Tajadas made with Fried Oyster Mushrooms and Jackfruit Dobladas from their lunch/dinner menu, Berry Happy French Toast and Avocado Toast from brunch menu (it's not your average avocado toast).



Casati's Modern Italian

Vegan-friendly.


Ambiance: Ornate, elegant décor, intimate lighting and relaxed scene.


Sips: Full bar.

My fave menu items: I love their Fried Artichoke appetizer, Margherita and Truffle Mushroom Pizza. Their vegan Carbonara main course is so tantalizing!






Bloom Plant-Based Kitchen

1559 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60622



100% Vegan and Gluten Free.


Ambiance: Classic meets modern, intimate lighting, relaxed scene.


Sips: Full bar.


Accepts Reservations: Yes.


My fave menu items: Their menu changes often, but love their Kale Caesar Salad, Turnip Causa, Miso Guava Eggplant and their flatbreads.


Last but not least, this one isn't in Chicago technically, but they're worth the extra drive!


Spirit Elephant

924 Green Bay Rd, Winnetka, IL 60093



100% Plant-based.


Ambiance: Intimate lighting, plants galore, minimalist chic-meets-industrial, relaxed scene.


Sips: Full bar.


Accepts Reservations: Yes, highly suggested.


My fave menu items: Their menu rotates due to the season, but their new Penne alla Vodka was tantalizing! Also, I love the calamari appetizer, Jorge's Bourbon Burger, the Mammoth Cinnamon Roll and their brunch.
